Bradivarius New and Improved Violin Pickup, Now For Acoustic AND Solid Body

If you like the great sound of the L. R. Baggs pickup system, you’re going to love the sound of the new Bradivarius Violin Pickup. These new violin pickups are an integral part of the bridge, similar to a Baggs, and are high output, so they can be used without a preamp, but of course as with any Piezo Transducer, they will sound better with a preamp. There is also less chance of feedback than with microphones and body-mounted transducers. Unlike other bridge mounted transducers which need drastic equalization changes before reaching the desired tone, the Bradivarius Violin Pickup has a warm, rich, full, natural sound with all of the equalization flat (in the middle position). In fact, if your amp is at a low volume, it's actually quite difficult to distinguish whether the sound that you're hearing is coming from the instrument next to your ear, or the amp.

The Brad transducer is so small that it does not in any way impede the sound of your violin when it is being played acoustically.

This transducer is now recommended for Solid Body violins, as well as, Acoustic instruments.

These pickups are not mass produced in a factory. Each violin pickup is meticulously handmade and sound-tested by Bradley D. Higgins, a Luthier of 30+ years, who is known for the warm, rich, full sound of his violins.

Brad has an electronics background, and has been experimenting with piezo transducers for over 35 years. Since he also has a machinist background, he is used to working with precision and extremely close tolerances, to within thousandths of an inch.

Every single violin pickup is actually installed on a violin and tested for volume, tone, and balance, before it is packaged. Each one comes with a Carpenter jack designed by Fred Carpenter, which is the same jack that is used by many of the other violin pickup manufacturers. The bridge (pickup) comes pre-thinned and with full, detailed installation instructions, and a full one-year replacement warranty.
