ABOUT BRADIVARIUS VIOLINS
Bradivarius Violins are made in the exact same manner as any other quality handcrafted traditional acoustic violin, right down to the careful and meticulous hand carving of the top and back plates. The only difference is the Bradivarius Violins are carved to closer tolerances, to within .005 inch of the desired thicknesses.

The instruments of old are plagued with structural weaknesses and are in need of constant repair. Here is a list of their most common problems:
1. Chipped edges.
2. Cracked tops and backs due to chipped edges.
3. Side buckling.
4. Top cracks starting at “f” holes.
5. Neck joint problems.
6. Tailgut saddle problems.
7. End pin problems.
8. Glue joint separation.
9. Neck warping at the heel, near the body.
The only differences between Bradivarius Violins and traditional handmade violins are the improvements designed to deal with the aforementioned structural weaknesses. The list of improvements is as follows:
1. A superior mortise and tenon neck joint with a laminated maple neck block and a removable neck.
2. Maple bound edges — Not only protects the edges but it restricts top and back plate expansion in high humidity, reducing the chance of glue joint separation between the top and back plates and the ribs.
3. More durable sides.
4. Thicker and more durable maple linings.
5. Aluminum tailgut saddle block.
6. The shape of the “f” holes.
7. Reinforced “f” hole weak points.
8. The use of a aliphatic resin glue which is far superior to hide glue.
9. The use of tonewoods which were unavailable to the old Italian makers.
10. The heel of the neck is impregnated with cyanoacrylate.
In conclusion, Bradivarius Violins are designed to be aesthetically beautiful, have an incredibly rich and powerful tone, and not be tied up in the repair shop!
